It is a great honor to have Sri Lanka as my homeland, a small island in the Asian continent. In the past, Sri Lanka was known as the pearl of the Indian Ocean and the granary of the East. Sri Lanka has been a beautiful fertile land in the country since that time. There are Sinhala, Muslim, Tamil and Burger are living in my country. Our main religion is Buddhism the basic is the most important religious festival for Sri Lankans. Colombo is the present capital city in Sri Lanka. export tea, coconut rubber, and gems. Also, three types of dance traditions are unique to our country. These are Up Country, Low Country, and Sabaragamuwa. Many young people in our country are drawn to traditional dance. The free education system is in operation in our country.
Our national game is volleyball but people like to play and watch cricket. The Sri Lankan cricket team was able to win the world cup in 1996 and 2014.
Many people visit Sri Lanka because of the natural beauty of our country. I think Sri Lanka is the most beautiful country in this world because of a lot of beautiful places in our country. They are Adm's peak, Nilaweli beach , Horton place , Peradeniya botanical place, Nuwara Eliya . Anuradhapura, Polonnaruwa, Kandy, and Sigiriya are the most historical places in Sri Lanka. I have also traveled to all places in Sri Lanka with my family and with my friends.
My mother language is Sinhala. but as a second language, I would like to speak English with my friends I am proud to be about my motherland we always try to protect our country I love my motherland very much. I am proud to be a Sri Lankan.
